# Audit log

Costfluent records identity and administrative actions for every organization, on every plan. Reading the record back in the product depends on the plan.

## Before you start

- Reading the audit log needs the Owner organization role.

## Read the audit log

1. Open **Settings**, then **Audit Logs**. Entries are newest first.
2. Narrow them by **Event**, such as `user.invited`, and by **From** and **To** dates.
3. Select **Load more** to read further back.

An action Costfluent took on its own shows **System** as the actor.

## How it behaves

- Recording does not depend on the plan; the plan decides only whether the log can be read.
- Exports of cost data are recorded here too; see [Explore cost data](/cost-reports/explore).
- If the log cannot be loaded, nothing is shown rather than a partial history.
